Curran becomes most expensive buy in IPL auction history

England all-rounder Sam Curran took home a big pile of cash as he became the biggest buy ever at the Indian Premier League auction on Friday. The 24-year-old Curran, who was Player of the Series in 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia was bought by Punjab Kings for a mind-boggling Rs 18.5 crore. In 2021 South Africa’s Chris Morris became IPL auction’s biggest buy when he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 16.25 crore. In the new record, Curran is now the most expensive buy in IPL auction history.
