Global Earth Day 2024: World Earth Day is celebrated every year on 22nd April, World Earth Day is an annual event. It is a day to raise awareness of the environmental challenges we face and inspire action for a sustainable future. This day is dedicated to protecting our planet and its environment. It started in 1970 and since then millions of people around the world are celebrating it.There are many ways to celebrate World Earth Day. Events or workshops are held to create awareness about the environment.

World Earth Day 2024: History World Earth Day history Earth Day emerged in the 1970s*

Born from the vision of US Senator Gaylord Nelson and Harvard student Dennis Hayes. Both of whom were deeply distressed by the damage caused to their environment, including the devastating oil spill in Santa Barbara, California. It aims to connect people and elevate environmental issues. Its immediate success was evident with a massive turnout of 20 million people in America.

On the occasion of World Earth Day 2024, Planet Vs. With the theme Plastic, Macleods Pharmaceuticals Limited organized an awareness campaign on non-use of plastic in the society in collaboration with Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) and Sarigam Industries Association (SIA). Understanding was provided. The event was organized by Macleods Pharmaceuticals Limited.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Ashwini Trivedi (RO-GPCB) sir and supported by seniors of SIA. The play and the event were appreciated by the audience at all.
